Great Wolf Lodge has opened its first resort in Florida, home to an indoor water park, adventure park and more entertainment offerings.
Providing Great Wolf Lodge’s “next generation” resort experience, the new $250m site in Naples has 500 rooms, a 92,000-square-foot indoor water park, a 61,000-square-foot adventure park, and many retail and dining options.
“Great Wolf Lodge South Florida offers an immersive resort experience where families can enjoy multiple adventures together, whether that’s at our fun-filled attractions, fantastic eateries, family entertainment offerings or the resort’s iconic indoor water park,” said Great Wolf Resorts CEO John Murphy.

“This new resort will provide families across the Sunshine State with a convenient and carefree family getaway, while also stimulating the local economy by creating hundreds of new jobs and encouraging more families to visit the region.”
Highlights in the water park include body slides, tube slides, raft rides, activity pools, and splash areas, as well as the new Rapid Racer tube slide with a water coaster element, and the Breakaway Bay raft adventure. This is unique to the Naples resort.
At the Great Wolf Adventure Park, guests can enjoy a multi-level ropes course with a zip line experience, as well as the latest version of the MagiQuest game. Great Wolf’s exclusive game lets players use interactive magic wands to battle goblins and dragons.
Blackstone and Centerbridge investment
US investment management company Blackstone and its partner Centerbridge committed over $250M to the resort to make it a possibility.
“Over the past five years, Blackstone has seen firsthand the joy that Great Wolf Lodge resorts bring to families, and the economic growth and quality jobs they bring to communities, which is why we are so proud to have invested over $250 million alongside Centerbridge Partners to bring Great Wolf Lodge South Florida to life,” said Jacob Werner, Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Americas Acquisitions at Blackstone.
“If the demand we’ve seen at Great Wolf’s 21 other resorts across the North America is any indication, we’re confident that this lodge will become a special destination for countless families in the years to come.”
New entertainment experiences in Naples
The park’s ‘Howl in One’ miniature golf course is inspired by The Great Wolf Pack, the first animated film released by Great Wolf Resorts.
Its new virtual reality (VR) experience allows guests to dive in the ocean or walk with dinosaurs. Guests can also gather in the lobby of the new resort every evening for a multi-sensory and immersive storytelling experience.
During the ‘Legend of Luna’ show, the lobby magically transforms through projection technology and special effects.
Great Wolf Resorts owns and operates North America‘s largest family of indoor water park resorts. Great Wolf Lodge in Naples is the company’s 22nd property.
