Paramount Pictures’ A Quiet Place will come to life during this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood.

In the new haunted house, guests will need to stay silent as they explore a post-apocalyptic world based on A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place Part II.

Directed by John KrasinskiA Quiet Place and A Quiet Place Part II follow the Abbott family as they attempt to survive in a world of blind predators with good hearing.

The new experience at Universal’s US theme parks will use unique sound design, special effects and scare actors “to convey the ominous sense of dread depicted in the films”, Universal said in a press release.

Additionally, Halloween Horror Nights will use American Sign Language (ASL) for the first time ever within the new attraction.

Highlights in the A Quiet Place-themed haunted house include the farmhouse where the Abbott family shelters, as well as the root cellar where Evelyn gives birth.

Trend for new horror experiences

In more news, Universal Orlando is hosting its first-ever ‘Premium Scream Night’ event in August, allowing guests to experience Halloween Horror Nights before it officially opens.

Additionally, Universal is creating a year-round horror attraction inspired by Halloween Horror Nights for Area15 in Las Vegas. The new location is Universal’s first permanent horror experience outside of its parks.

Halloween Horror Nights begins on 30 August at Universal Orlando in Florida, and on 5 September at Universal Studios Hollywood in California.
