Dronisos, a leading drone light show specialist, is partnering with Disneyland Paris for its new nighttime show, Disney Tales of Magic, which launched on 10 January.

Disney Tales of Magic invites visitors to explore the worlds of iconic Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar films. These include Inside Out, Coco, Encanto, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Lilo & Stitch, Toy Story, and WALL-E.

Unique storytelling experience

In addition to illuminating Sleeping Beauty Castle, this new night-time production brings to life the façade of Main Street for the first time. This creative approach provides visitors with diverse and spectacular perspectives on each narrative.

Disney Tales of Magic runs for around 20 minutes and mixes cutting-edge technology with remarkable staging. Dronisos’ drones create vivid 3D formations in the sky that honour treasured characters from Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios. These displays add to the show’s narrative and visual impact and are part of an enchanting range of special effects that include lasers, pyrotechnics, and architectural LED projections.

“Following the success of previous collaborations, such as the Disney D-Light and Disney Electrical Sky Parade pre-shows, Dronisos is delighted to contribute to this new production, once again pushing the boundaries of imagination and storytelling,” says a spokesperson from the company.

Dronisos recently showcased its collaboration with Disneyland Paris at IAAPA Expo 2024 in Orlando. The two organisations have been working together since 2018 to create temporary and permanent shows which captivate and excite visitors. The theme park sector continues to create increasingly spectacular nighttime shows, and Dronisos and Disneyland Paris have positioned themselves as innovators in the space.

Last year, Dronisos and Disneyland Paris achieved a Guinness World Record title for the “Largest aerial display of a fictional character formed by multirotors / drones”, with an extraordinary tricolour Mickey Mouse head made of 1,571 perfectly synchronised drones. The show was created for the Bastille Day fireworks on 14 July and illuminated the night sky over Sleeping Beauty Castle.
