Cosm, a global technology company that builds end-to-end solutions for immersive experiences, has unveiled a new collaboration with acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Bo Bridges for Big Wave: No Room for Error. This immersive oceanic experience showcases the perspectives of expert surfers, captured in stunning 12K+ resolution, and is produced for Cosm’s Shared Reality venues.
Premiering on 15 March 2025, Big Wave: No Room for Error, a Cosm Studios Original, invites audiences to explore some of the world’s largest and most perilous waves. This stunning and immersive 60-minute film takes viewers through extreme oceanic frontiers, showcasing several iconic yet remote locations, such as Nazaré in Portugal and Teahupo’o in Tahiti, in Shared Reality, an immersive experience enriched by Cosm’s cutting-edge visuals that smoothly connect the virtual and physical realms.

Capturing the feeling of a surfer’s experience
“When developing this piece, I wanted to capture the intensity, feeling, and emotion of a surfer’s experience while out in the ocean,” says Bridges. “Cosm has created a world that enables the viewer to become immersed in the action. I can’t wait for audiences to be introduced to this world and feel that rush for themselves.”
Through underwater and aerial footage, Big Wave: No Room for Error expands the limits of visual storytelling. It immerses the audience in thrilling action, allowing them to view the world from the perspectives of daring surfers, such as Tahitian athlete Heimiti Fierro, who strives to conquer the iconic big waves at Teahupo’o in Bridges’ film.
Bridges’ work will also showcase an engaging soundscape featuring music from Pearl Jam, Glass Animals, and a score by the 16-time Emmy Award-winning composer Didier Lean Rachou.
“We are thrilled to bring Big Wave to life at Cosm,” says Jeb Terry, president and CEO at Cosm. “It has been a great privilege to work with Bo and his team. Their creative vision and powerful storytelling techniques produce an unmistakably authentic perspective. Cosm’s technology is perfectly suited to immerse the audience in the story, and our hospitality will ensure fans leave with an unforgettable experience. We will take guests on top of and below the waves, bringing the raw power of the ocean into our Venues.
“We can’t all ride the big waves like these incredible athletes, but Cosm will bring fans closer to the action than ever before.”
Cosm Studios, the content and storytelling division of the company, nurtures the craft of full dome filmmaking within an immersive creator ecosystem. By collaborating with a diverse group of exceptional artists, filmmakers, technologists, and experience designers, it seeks to broaden the horizons of immersive storytelling and design. ‘Big Wave: No Room for Error’ invites viewers to explore the relationship between humanity and the ocean, showcasing the power of Mother Nature on Cosm’s innovative LED canvas.
Bridges is the fifth artist to be welcomed into Cosm Studios’ Creator Program, joining renowned new media artist Nancy Baker Cahill; filmmaker, director, and Planetary Collective co-founder Guy Reid; visionary artist and musician Chris Holmes; and acclaimed composer and new media artist Ricardo Romaneiro.
