Red Raion, the CGI studio for media based attractions, has published a new video to mark the launch of CGI film Adventures of Chikku – Wild Ride at Wonderla amusement parks.

The attraction opened at the operator’s parks in Bangalore and Hyderabad last December.

This new video takes viewers behind the scenes at the new immersive attraction and shares visitors’ responses. It features exclusive interviews with Wonderla’s executive chairman and managing director, Arun Chittilapilly, and chief operating officer, Dheeran Choudhary.

Bringing Chikku to life

Adventures of Chikku – Wild Ride exemplifies Red Raion’s portfolio of projects tailored to their client’s specific requirements.

With this project, Wonderla wished to enhance the role of its beloved mascot Chikku within its brand. In order to connect more deeply with park visitors, Red Raion emphasised the character’s playful nature and gave him an international appeal.

The film premiere was held at Wonderla Kochi last year, and attended by Salvo Fallica,  chief operating officer, Red Raion.

“We have worked with various design studios to do 3D films before,” says Chittilapilly in the film. “This time, we chose Red Raion because we liked their concept, and they are also very pragmatic in terms of their approach, and very approachable, and also [their] timely delivery. These are some of the things we really liked.

“And also, working with Salvo and the team has been great. They are a really methodical, detail-oriented outfit, and that’s very important to bring a character like this to life.”

Red Raion recently shared further details of its collaboration with Wonderla Holidays, India’s largest amusement park chain.

Fallica said: “We found a precious partner in Wonderla. They deeply understand the power of storytelling and value their guests immensely, committing to offering them memorable experiences that mean something to them. This is why they chose to bring their mascots to life and asked Red Raion to create content that specifically speaks to their parks’ audiences of all ages, building a generational fil rouge, as today’s parents are yesterday’s park kids.

“The content we created comes along with a new golden age for their parks, laying the foundation for their new experiences. We at Red Raion are immensely proud to support Wonderla in their crucial journey of growth and development as a leader in the LBE market in India.
