Following an extended advert for Epic Universe during the Super Bowl on 9 February, Universal Orlando has released “portal teasers” for the new park’s themed lands.
Universal Epic Universe, the fourth gate at Universal Orlando in Florida, is to open 22 May. It is described as Universal’s most ambitious theme park ever.
Situated on 750 acres, Epic Universe includes a theme park with five themed lands, as well as three hotels, shops and F&B.
Super Nintendo World
On YouTube, Universal Orlando has shared individual teasers for Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.
The only land to not get a portal teaser is Celestial Park, which will serve as the gateway to the theme park’s other magical lands.
After entering Super Nintendo World via the iconic green pipe, guests will find a gamified and interactive land themed to characters including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Donkey Kong.
Ministry of Magic
Dark Universe is accessible through a petrifying portal. In this land, guests will meet Universal’s classic monsters like Frankenstein, the Mummy and the Wolf Man.
A portal featuring a Dumbledore quote will take guests to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, a new Harry Potter land inspired by 1920s Paris in the Fantastic Beasts film franchise and the British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter series.
Finally, visitors will enter How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk through a Vikings-themed portal before enjoying a world based on the How to Train Your Dragon film franchise.

Universal‘s portal teasers also include concept images of attractions and experiences in each land, including an animatronic Frankenstein in Dark Universe and the Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride.
Also shown are the Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry ride, and soaring dragons in Isle of Berk.
