Greg Fortner has become a partner at Mycotoo, taking on the role of chief operating officer (COO). He previously served as chief executive officer (CEO) of Dig It North America, an indoor play space for children themed around construction, where he successfully led the firm through significant growth and innovation.
Fortner, who holds an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and has extensive experience scaling business strategy and operations, brings significant expertise to Mycotoo’s leadership team.
As COO, he will draw upon his proven success in enhancing operational efficiency, fostering strong partnerships, and promoting sustainable growth to further Mycotoo’s ongoing success. Fortner’s leadership merges strategic vision with a practical approach, ensuring that Mycotoo remains a leader in the location-based entertainment sector, delivering exceptional experiences for global audiences.

Mycotoo has also appointed Edd Musgrove as partner and executive creative director at Mycotoo Europe. Musgrove has fostered a strong partnership with Mycotoo throughout the past few years, leading to successful collaborations. With a noteworthy career in designing theme parks and entertainment, he offers the team a unique combination of creative direction, design strategy, and production skills. His extensive experience in themed entertainment encompasses globally celebrated projects and intellectual properties like Peppa Pig Land, Mahuka at Walibi Rhône-Alpes, and several attractions within Merlin Entertainments and Legoland Parks.
He also serves on the boards of both the TEA EME division and the IAAPA EME Education Committee, curating and moderating panels and sessions for various industry events. Musgrove’s joining of the Europe office enhances Mycotoo’s global creative influence, reinforcing its status for providing top-tier storytelling and attraction design. As Mycotoo broadens its connections across diverse sectors in Europe, his leadership and expertise will play a crucial role in moulding the future of entertainment experiences.

Furthermore, Mycotoo welcomes Daniel Hirsch as its new director of design. Hirsch’s creative talents and extensive background in design will bolster the company’s dedication to providing industry-leading immersive attractions and seasonal events.
He has been part of award-winning teams for productions such as American Horror Story, True Blood, and Sleepy Hollow and has worked on projects for prestigious clients, including Disney, Universal Studios, Hersheypark, Carnival Cruise Line, and more. His diverse expertise in prop fabrication, production design, special effects, and interior design highlights Mycotoo’s commitment to fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
