Morgan’s Inclusion Institute, which officially launched last year at IAAPA Expo in Orlando, has commenced a formal search for its first president.
Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antonio, Texas is the world’s first theme park designed and built for people with special needs. Morgan’s Inclusion Institute is an initiative under the Morgan umbrella dedicated to empowering businesses, organisations, nonprofits, government entities, and others to incorporate inclusion and accessibility into every aspect of their work and daily lives.
“Morgan’s has unofficially provided guidance in several aspects of our community for many years. We are proud to have formalized that work last year with the launch of Morgan’s Inclusion Institute. Now, thanks to significant seed funding, we are moving forward in our search for the Institute’s first president,” says Dr Brent Fields, CEO of Morgan’s.
“Embracing the ‘Morgan’s Way,’ the Institute will set a standard of excellence for fostering a more inclusive world and sparking cultural change.”
Setting a standard of excellence
Reporting directly to the Morgan’s CEO, the Morgan’s Inclusion Institute president will assist in developing and implementing a strategy to enhance the national recognition of the Morgan’s Inclusion Institute brand, fostering awareness and understanding of the organisation’s certifications, training programmes, educational products, and services.
The ideal candidate will act as a strategic thought leader for the Institute, engaging across various market sectors and locations. This role involves promoting, attracting, and cultivating relationships to enhance growth and influence in developing Ultra-Accessible facilities and venues.
The Institute’s momentum is growing as it consults on the San Antonio International Airport expansion project and partners with other international airports across the US to improve accessibility for travellers of all ages and abilities.
Recent projects involve delivering Disability Inclusion Training for International Ride Training, a company that specialises in safety training for professionals in the amusement park industry, as well as on-site consultation for a historic attraction in California.
The Institute is currently consulting on its internal project, Morgan’s Hotel, which aims to revolutionise the hotel industry by providing the first Ultra-Accommodating hotel experience.
Always working with inclusion in mind
“We are always working with inclusion in mind. This is yet another way that we can help guide people and work with them to realise the potential and ease of making significant changes to the world we live in to include people of all abilities,” says Gordon Hartman, founder and chairman of the board of Morgan’s.
The Institute aims to empower learners to implement meaningful changes in their communities and businesses by connecting individuals eager to create more accessible spaces with Morgan’s experts.
Key offerings encompass disability inclusion training, customised strategies adapted to specific needs, including scalable plans, the ability to collaborate with various industries, project consultation, inclusion assessments, and Ultra-Accessible Certifications.
Morgan’s founders Gordon and Maggie Hartman were inducted into the IAAPA Hall of Fame in 2023 for their visionary work creating inclusive experiences. In 2024, Morgan’s Wonderland saw its largest expansion to date, with a $6 million investment in new attractions.
