RWS Global, a leading producer of live experiences, has acquired Harmony Helper, a patented app which assists singers in learning their part of a song.
With this acquisition, the company offers its clients significant reductions in rehearsal costs. Thousands of singers in productions across the globe will be able to learn vocal parts in any location and at any time using the unique tool.
This marks the fifth acquisition in the history of RWS Global, and the company’s third software acquisition in the last 12 months.
Supporting singers & reducing rehearsal costs
The Harmony Helper app serves as a digital rehearsal room where vocalists can learn songs and practice on demand, outside of scheduled sessions. It has been used by some of the best-known brands in the entertainment sector across a variety of professional contexts.
All of a company’s musical pieces can be uploaded into the app to support music directors and enable singers to attend rehearsals better prepared and ready to focus on the performative aspects of the production.
Ryan Stana, chairman and CEO, RWS Global, says: “We are thrilled to welcome Harmony Helper to the RWS Global family as we continue to deepen and diversify our investments in production and technology and deliver best-in-class shows around the globe.”

“This tool allows vocalists to practice at their own pace so they come to rehearsals more prepared with show ready vocals,” says Craig Laurie, chief creative officer, RWS Global. “Harmony Helper will be a game-changer for our clients who are looking to elevate and save on their vocal productions.”
RWS Global provides top-tier entertainment worldwide, and offers performers an international talent trajectory programme with unique development opportunities on every step of their career path. In this, a performer can enter the industry with RWS Global’s worldwide opportunities and progress to a Broadway production.
Harmony Helper serves as an additional resource for this programme, which fosters talent and supports performers in achieving their professional goals.
Andrew Goren, founder of Harmony Helper, says: “When I was rehearsing for my first professional show at the age of 12, I had trouble singing harmony, it was in that moment the idea for Harmony Helper was born.
“I know that the hassles of practicing for a performance can leave singers feeling frustrated and unprepared. Now, through this exciting new venture, Harmony Helper will be accessible to thousands of professional singers hired by RWS Global around the world. It’s great to be a part of a like-minded organization that sees the value in supporting talent throughout their careers!”
RWS Global will continue to provide the Harmony Helper app as a free download for its performers. The technology will also be available to license. To enquire, please email RWS Global.
