Visit Group, a specialist in creating digital solutions tailored to the attractions and tourism industries, has announced the appointment of Werner Dullmaier as business development director.
The industry veteran brings over 20 years of experience in the leisure and attractions industry, and will spearhead Visit Group’s growth in this market.
Industry expertise & strategic acumen
Dullmaier’s experience includes leadership roles at Merlin Entertainments at Sea Life Aquariums and Legoland Deutschland, and handling e-commerce and ticketing as VP for a European SaaS company. He joins Visit Group with the aim of enhancing its visibility among European amusement parks and attractions.
Ludvig Olsson, general manager experiences and operators segment at Visit Group, says: “We are thrilled to welcome Werner to Visit Group. His deep industry expertise and strategic mindset will be key as we strengthen our position in the attractions and amusement park sector. Werner’s leadership will help us bring even more value to operators looking to enhance their guest experience.”
The company’s strong product offering, clear value proposition, and innovative and collaborative culture attracted Dullmaier to the role.
“For me, it was very clear that if I stayed on the eCom and ticketing side of the leisure industry, the company of choice needed to bring five key elements: an outstanding product, a clear USP that adds real value, great potential for international growth, the right company culture led by inspiring people, and, last but not least, an exciting role for me personally,” says Dullmaier.
“Visit Group checked all these boxes, making it an easy decision to come on board.”
Positioned for growth
Dullmaier will work to expand the company’s footprint in the attractions and amusement park industry, drawing on his extensive operational knowledge to align technology and the visitor experience.
He says: “The attractions industry is all about fun and delivering unforgettable memories. It’s a tight-knit community, and I’m excited to contribute to its future by making technology work better for operators and guests alike.”
His first six months will focus on raising Visit Group’s profile among attractions and amusement parks. Dullmaier believes Visit Group has significant potential to advance how attractions interact with visitors, from ticketing to personalised upsells and real-time visitor information.
By providing state-of-the-art solutions designed specifically to meet to the needs of experience providers worldwide, Visit Group continues to grow its market presence. With Dullmaier on the team, it is positioned for its next stage of development in the amusement park and attractions sector.
In February, Visit Group welcomed Richard Wiegmann as its new CEO. Wiegmann brings decades of leadership experience in travel and hospitality technology.
