Cosm, a global technology company that builds end-to-end solutions for immersive experiences, has announced a multi-film partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures and Emmy-nominated Little Cinema to create an innovative way for fans to enjoy their favourite films.

The first-ever Shared Reality cinematic experience will launch at Cosm’s Los Angeles and Dallas locations on 6 June 2025, featuring The Matrix to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary.

By utilising Cosm’s technology and full-dome filmmaking techniques, The Matrix will be presented in its original format while the surrounding environment actively evolves to interact with and reflect the film’s content.

This immersive experience will extend across Cosm’s 87-foot-diameter LED dome, transforming the audience from passive viewers into active participants, allowing them to be fully immersed in The Matrix’s universe.

A new way to enjoy favourite films

“As we built this business, we were confident that live sports would thrive in Shared Reality, transporting fans to the sidelines of their favorite sport,” says Jeb Terry, CEO and president at Cosm.

“Now with The Matrix, we’re expanding into cinema, transporting fans into the scenes of their favorite films. Instead of simply watching Neo enter the matrix, audiences will go with him, experiencing the journey like never before.

“This step into a new format is only achievable through innovation and collaboration, and both Warner Bros. and Little Cinema took the leap with us to create something new. We can’t wait for fans to experience it.”

Last year, Cosm launched its first two locations in Los Angeles (Hollywood Park) and Dallas (Grandscape). These venues focus on sports and entertainment while also unveiling Shared Reality – a groundbreaking technology that seamlessly bridges the virtual and physical worlds to bring immersive experiences into physical spaces.

With the addition of The Matrix and experiential cinema, Cosm will offer fans a groundbreaking way to enjoy their favourite films while remaining committed to broadening fandom and exploring new possibilities.

A unique experience

“Having been a part of The Matrix big screen experience since the first film completely transported audiences with its groundbreaking filmmaking technology and truly immersive storytelling, I can say on behalf of all of us at Warner Bros. that we wouldn’t miss this opportunity to partner with Cosm and Little Cinema to deliver yet another first to moviegoers,” says Jeff Goldstein, president of global distribution at Warner Bros. Pictures.

“There’s no better film to kick off this unique experience, and no better time than The Matrix’s 25th anniversary.”

Jay Rinsky, founder of Little Cinema, adds: “For the last 10 years, our mission at Little Cinema has been to reimagine cinema as a fully immersive, multi-dimensional experience – bringing the adrenaline and sense of community of live events to the storytelling of film.

“With The Matrix in Shared Reality, we worked with Cosm and Warner Bros. Pictures to design an experience where the film remains the hero, and audiences are invited to question their own sense of what is real in the world surrounding it.

“This vision was only made possible through our partnership with Cosm, whose groundbreaking technology powers the immersion, and Warner Bros. Pictures, whose iconic filmmaking continues to inspire new forms of cinematic expression.”

Earlier this year, Cosm unveiled a new collaboration with acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Bo Bridges for Big Wave: No Room for Error. This immersive oceanic experience showcases the perspectives of expert surfers, captured in stunning 12K+ resolution, and is produced for Cosm’s Shared Reality venues.
