Cedar Fair and Six Flags have revealed that their proposed merger is to close on 1 July. Additionally, a senior management team to lead the combined company has been announced.

In March, Six Flags shareholders overwhelmingly voted to approve the merger with fellow amusement park operator Cedar Fair.

When the transaction closes, Cedar Fair president and CEO Richard Zimmerman will serve as the combined company‘s president and CEO.
