SeaWorld Orlando has set an opening date for its new Penguin Trek attraction. The park’s first family launch coaster will debut on 7 July.

Located in SeaWorld Orlando’s new Antarctica realm, Penguin Trek features an indoor and outdoor track, with guests racing on snowmobile-style ride cars at speeds of up to 43 mph along a 3,020-foot track.

On the new attraction, manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M), riders navigate twists and turns, narrowly escape the crumbling hazards of an icy cavern, and end up in the park’s penguin habitat.

“We are incredibly excited to unveil our newest addition to SeaWorld Orlando’s outstanding coaster lineup,” said park president Jon Peterson.

Penguin Trek offers a unique blend of thrills and education, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the wonders of Antarctica while highlighting our dedication to wildlife preservation and family-friendly fun.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming families and thrill seekers alike to experience the fun of this incredible coaster.”

Penguin Trek opens 7 July

Penguin Trek is SeaWorld Orlando’s eighth roller coaster and comes after Pipeline: The Surf Coaster, which opened last year.

In February, SeaWorld Orlando shared a hard hat tour of the Penguin Trek construction site after completing the track.

This summer, an Orlando hotel is opening a themed suite inspired by the Penguin Trek coaster and the Antarctica realm.

SeaWorld Entertainment recently changed its corporate name to United Parks & Resorts. In its financial results for the first quarter of this year, United posted increases in attendance and revenue.
