London’s V&A museum is to display some of Taylor Swift‘s personal items, including cowboy boots and dresses, in a free exhibit this summer.
The show, named ‘Taylor Swift: Songbook Trail’, opens on 27 July and is available through 8 September at the V&A in South Kensington.
It includes 16 outfits worn by the Grammy-winning singer, who is now on her blockbuster Eras Tour. She has recently performed in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, London and Dublin.
Songbook Trail will showcase the costumes alongside instruments, music awards, storyboards and previously unseen archival material.
Free exhibit for Swifties
Looks on loan from Swift’s personal collection include the customised cowboy boots worn during 2007’s Soul2Soul II Tour and the ruffled black dress worn in the music video for ‘Fortnight’, the single from her recently released album The Tortured Poet’s Department.
Kate Bailey, senior curator, theatre and performance, said: “We are delighted to be able to display a range of iconic looks worn by Taylor Swift at the V&A this summer.
“Each celebrating a chapter in the artist’s musical journey. Taylor Swift’s songs like objects tell stories, often drawing from art, history and literature.
“We hope this theatrical trail across the museum will inspire curious visitors to discover more about the performer, her creativity and V&A objects.”

The exhibit offers 13 stops, each showcasing a distinct era of Swift’s music and songwriting. Designed by Tom Piper, each installation will be theatrically staged, the V&A said in a press release.
Earlier this year, the V&A was looking for a Swift superfan to become its official advisor about the singer, giving expert insights into fan culture and the memorabilia that fans collect and create.
The V&A was also seeking advisors who are passionate about Crocs footwear, emojis, drag, and tufting, a type of textile manufacturing.
