PGAV, a global leader in the planning and design of unique destinations, has announced the promotion of Charlie Lutz as studio leader for its facility in St. Louis, Missouri, and Gary Rogowski as studio leader for Orlando, Florida.
As studio leaders, Lutz and Rogowski will concentrate on cultivating an environment that optimises creativity and efficiency, allows staff members to develop, and strengthens PGAV’s standing as a leader in the sector.
These internal leadership promotions form part of the firm’s multi-studio strategy which seeks to strengthen the studio’s culture. The roles were introduced two years ago under the multi-studio strategy and were previously held by Ashley Edelbrock and Justin Stichter, who are now vice presidents of PGAV.
Mike Konzen, CEO of PGAV Destinations, says: “Studio culture is essential to our success. As our teams continue to grow, the cohesive nature between our studios remains vital. Charlie and Gary have demonstrated exceptional leadership and success in guiding our teams. They will ensure our studios evolve together in culture and creativity. I’m excited to watch them thrive in their new roles.”
Evolving studio culture
Lutz joined PGAV in 2023 as a project architect. He mentors coworkers to help them achieve their full potential and promotes a supportive environment at PGAV through team-building activities and open communication.
Rogowski has been at PGAV for eight years. During this time, he has established himself as a trusted mentor to his colleagues who strives to create an engaging work environment. Rogowski began his career at the St. Louis studio and now leverages his significant institutional experience to help establish and enhance the culture in Orlando.
Lutz comments: “Throughout my career, I’ve focused on the positive impacts I can have in helping others achieve their personal goals while advancing the studio’s expertise. I am genuinely passionate about the growth of my colleagues; a rising tide lifts all ships. I am invested in doing whatever I can to enable the designers in our studio to be the best versions of themselves.
“The power of what a collaborative team can do is unmatched. I look forward to supporting my teammates in elevating the designers here and maintaining PGAV’s leadership in destination-focused projects.”
Rogowski says: “As a former client, I have a unique perspective on the passion and dedication PGAV Destinations commits to the success of our clients and their projects. Witnessing this collective show of creative force from inside and outside the organization, I understand what it means to be the best.
“I am honored to continue these efforts, harnessing that pride and dedication to maintain the creative bond across our organization as we embark on new challenges to create
world-class attractions, experiences, and destinations.”
Nominations are now open for the blooloop 50 Zoo and Aquarium Influencer List 2024, in association with PGAV. These awards recognise true leaders who are pushing the industry forward and ensure that the sector is constantly innovating.
