The Weeknd is back at Universal for Halloween Horror Nights

Award-winning artist The Weeknd is returning to Universal Studios Hollywood‘s Halloween Horror Nights with a new nightmare.

The new ‘The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy’ haunted house is a unique horror experience for fans with music by The Weeknd scored by producer and artist Mike Dean.

The Weeknd previously teamed up with Halloween Horror Nights in 2022 on the ‘After Hours Nightmare’ haunted house, inspired by his After Hours album.

“The Weeknd is one of the 21st century’s most significant artists and the enigmatic superstar has continued to shatter records year after year,” Universal said in a press release.

As well as The Weeknd’s eerie experience, Universal Studios Hollywood’s Terror Tram is getting a Blumhouse theme this year, featuring characters from franchises including M3GANThe Black PhoneFreakyThe Purge and Happy Death Day.

The Weeknd’s experience is the last haunted house to be announced for Halloween at Universal Studios Hollywood. The others are:

Additionally, ‘The Purge: Dangerous Waters’ live show is returning to the park’s WaterWorld venue, and scare zones at Universal Studios Hollywood are as follows:

  • Luchadores Monstruosos
  • Chainsaw Punkz
  • Skull Lordz
  • Murder of Crowz

New haunt experiences

Elsewhere in the LA area, CBS series Ghosts is becoming an immersive experience in two historic West Adams mansions. Also, cult classic Halloween movie Trick ‘r Treat is coming to Six Flags‘ Fright Fest at Magic Mountain.

Halloween Horror Nights begins at Universal Studios Hollywood on 5 September and continues through 3 November. At Universal Orlando, the event begins on 30 August.
