Universal Orlando has unveiled its new Universal Helios Grand Hotel, which includes a dedicated entrance to Epic Universe.
Developed by the same creative team behind Epic Universe, which opens next year, the 500-room hotel is inspired by the astronomical and mythological themes of Celestial Park.
Co-owned and operated by Loews Hotels & Co, Universal Helios Grand Hotel overlooks Celestial Park and features its own entrance to the new theme park.
Immersive hotel experiences
Named after Helios, the Greek god of the sun, the hotel includes suites themed to How to Train Your Dragon, as well as a rooftop lounge called Bar Helios with 360-degree views of Epic Universe.
Highlights also include a resort-style pool with underwater speakers and poolside movies, as well as a fitness centre, a game room, and a Universal Orlando store.
As for F&B, a full-service restaurant at the hotel is called Flora Taverna, while the Aurora Market is a coffee shop and market. Lotus Lagoon is a poolside bar and grill.
Also part of Epic Universe are the Universal Stella Nova Resort (opening 21 January 2025) and Universal Terra Luna Resort (opening 25 February 2025).
Epic Universe, the fourth theme park at Universal Orlando, is on track to open in 2025. It will house five themed lands with more than 50 attractions, entertainment experiences, and retail and F&B outlets.
The new lands are: Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Celestial Park.
Epic Universe will also feature immersive technologies like omnidirectional ride vehicles, motion simulation and special effects, according to Jeff Polk, executive VP and general manager of the park.
