Movie Park Germany is expanding its IP offering for Halloween 2024 with a new experience inspired by Paramount Pictures’ A Quiet Place.
The horror house is called ‘A Quiet Place: Stay Quiet, Stay Alive’. It is part of the park’s Halloween Horror Festival, which opens on 3 October.
Described as an intense experience featuring scenes from the film, the new attraction is Europe’s largest indoor horror house to date, with an area of more than 1,400 square metres.
“The demand for an IP horror house has been very strong among our guests,” said the theme park‘s Halloween project manager, Manuel Prossotowicz.
“Thanks to the cooperation with Paramount Global, we can not only fulfil this wish, but also bring a well-known franchise to the park that will further immerse guests in the world of the horror genre.”
Guests will explore eight scenes in a post-apocalyptic world based on A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place Part II.
Movie Park Germany’s partners IMAmotion and IMAscore have developed the new experience for Halloween.
“This is a challenge that had to be carefully considered right from the initial concept phase. We intend to catch visitors’ attention and gaze in the best possible way – even distracting them if necessary – to create a thrilling overall experience,” said IMAmotion and IMAscore managing director Xaver Willebrand.
Investing in IP attractions
A Quiet Place has also come to life for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood.
The new experience at Universal’s US theme parks uses unique sound design, special effects and scare actors “to convey the ominous sense of dread depicted in the films”.
Eerie events and Halloween celebrations are growing in popularity, with visitor attractions looking to increase sales through expanded and branded experiences.
