blooloop is delighted to reveal the blooloop 50 2024 Zoo & Aquarium Influencer List. Now in its third year, this list celebrates individuals from across the globe who are leaders in the sector and recognises their efforts to innovate and positively impact zoos and aquariums around the world.
In association with our friends at PGAV, a global leader in the planning and design of unique destinations, the 2024 list saw hundreds of nominations for Zoo and Aquarium professionals, submitted by their peers and then assessed by an expert panel. The final result is a list of 50 individuals whose work and achievements demonstrate their passion and commitment to the sector.
Charles Read, MD of blooloop, says: “Our natural world is facing unprecedented challenges. These range from the degradation and loss of habitat, to pollution, the illicit trade in wildlife and the growing impact of climate change.
“There are many people on the List this year who are involved with the main associations for zoos and aquariums, showing the importance of zoos and aquariums working together and becoming accredited.
“Furthermore, today’s zoos and aquariums play a vital role with conservation programs, protecting endangered species, repairing damaged or degraded ecosystems and educating the public about the many threats our natural world faces.”

Howard noted that in the List this year, she saw “a lot of people commenting on conservation and bringing animals to underserved communities, diversity and accessibility … which is very important.”
