Silver Dollar City, an 1880s theme park in the Ozarks, is constructing a new hotel as part of a $500 million investment plan over the next 10 years.
The development plan involves transforming 1,200 acres adjacent to the park, beginning with a 262-room resort scheduled to open in late 2026.
“This is more than just growth – it’s a new era,” said Brad Thomas, Silver Dollar City’s parks and resorts president. “Over the next decade, we will mindfully transform 1,200 acres into an authentic, only-in-the-Ozarks destination starting with our first resort.”

He added: “The new resort will combine Silver Dollar City’s spirit of playfulness, discovery, craftsmanship and exploration with all that makes the heart of the Ozarks so special.”
Already under construction, the upcoming hotel will offer views of the Ozark Mountains and Table Rock Lake. It is located close to attractions on site including the White Water water park and Silver Dollar City Campground.
In a press release, Silver Dollar City said the resort will provide “unparalleled access to Silver Dollar City theme park”.
Missouri Governor Mike Parson said: “This investment showcases Silver Dollar City’s commitment to tourism and economic growth in the Ozarks and for the state of Missouri.”
New resort to open in late 2026
“We are excited to see this project bring thousands of new jobs and millions of new visitors to our great state.”
Operated by Herschend, Silver Dollar City features rides and attractions, live entertainment and world-class festivals.
Last week, the park announced plans to expand its entertainment experiences for next year, which includes the launch of a new drone show.
Earlier this year, Silver Dollar City opened Fire in the Hole – the largest indoor family coaster in the Midwest. The $30m ride is Silver Dollar City’s largest investment in a single attraction to date.
