Disneyland Paris has shared first-look images of the World of Frozen construction site, unveiling the new land’s rising buildings aptly covered in snow.

The French theme park wrote on Instagram alongside the images: “First snow of the season means the first snow at the construction site of World of Frozen, opening in 2026 at Disneyland Paris.”

Unveiled in the new pictures are the snow-capped castle in Arendelle village, as well as the Clock Tower seen in the Frozen films, and more buildings covered in snow.

World of Frozen is part of a €2 billion expansion plan for Walt Disney Studios Park, which will become Disney Adventure World when the Frozen-themed land opens.

Disneyland Paris’ new addition will also include Elsa’s Ice Palace, standing atop the snow-covered North Mountain.

The surrounding village features Norwegian-style architecture, as well as a shop and restaurant with views of the lake.

The land’s promenade will offer green walkways and themed gardens. Additionally, visitors will get to meet their favourite Frozen characters.

In an interview with blooloop this year, Disneyland Paris’ présidente Natacha Rafalski said: “We are well advanced in bringing the kingdom of Arendelle to life, including the iconic North Mountain. This can already be seen rising in the distance.

“Our guests will soon be able to immerse themselves like never before in this powerful storytelling that has become so beloved around the world. We can’t wait to ‘open up the gates’.”

She added, “The World of Frozen will feature a new attraction that takes guests on a journey alongside Anna and Elsa, as well as immersive dining, shopping and a chance to enjoy a memorable royal audience with the two sisters.

“We will share more details about each experience in the new land as we get closer to opening day.”

The world’s first Frozen land opened at Hong Kong Disneyland in November 2023. Tokyo DisneySea’s eighth themed port, Fantasy Springs, also contains a Frozen area called Frozen Kingdom.
