Mandai Wildlife Reserve in Singapore is set to open its new eco-friendly hotel, Mandai Rainforest Resort, in April 2025.

Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree offers a nature-inspired stay where every element is designed to integrate with the environment.

Located within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, the 4.6-hectare resort provides direct access to the following zoological parks: Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, Bird Paradise and Rainforest Wild, the first phase of which opens in March 2025.

Glen Cook, general manager of Mandai Rainforest Resort, said Banyan Group’s first resort in Singapore will deliver “unparalleled guest experiences”.

“From exclusive wildlife encounters in the parks right next door to rejuvenating spa treatments, every moment will be thoughtfully crafted to captivate the senses,” he added.

“We invite guests to experience a home away from home, where every moment inspires mindfulness, discovery and a deeper connection to self and the surroundings.”

The 338-room resort was designed around the mature trees on the site, and the property’s wings have been elevated from the ground so that native wildlife can move around.

The eco-friendly hotel includes sustainable features, such as rooms equipped with interactive displays that show power consumption levels.

Highlights also include the Banyan Tree Spa and a restaurant using sustainably sourced ingredients.

“We invite everyone who stays here to embrace being nature’s guest. For many of us who are ‘urban jungle dwellers’, this may mean adapting to a new rhythm, accepting that wildlife, nature and the weather are indifferent to our urban desires and conveniences,” said Teo Joo Leng, chief product officer, Mandai Wildlife Group.

“We hope every guest arrives ready to have meaningful experiences in nature.”

As above, Rainforest Wild is opening in phases. Singapore’s fifth wildlife park is divided into two sites – Asia and Africa, with the former set to debut in March 2025.

The Asia area will immerse visitors in a 13-hectare Asian rainforest where they can choose their level of adventure and explore various paths, seeking out wildlife across 10 zones, from tree canopies to a subterranean labyrinth of cave chambers.
