Innovation in the Game On space, from LBEs to FECs

This discussion will be led by Tom Lionetti-Maguire, founder of Little Lion Entertainment, who will be joined by Jeffrey Godsick, executive vice president, global partnerships, brand management, and head of LBE at Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Matthew Palmer, chief marketing officer at Brite Management.  

Tom Lionetti-Maguire

As founder of Little Lion Entertainment and creator of Games Arenas, Tom Lionetti-Maguire is passionate about all aspects of the leisure and entertainment industry. Lionetti-Maguire was recognised in the 2023 blooloop 50 awards in the Immersive category, and was named in The Sunday Times 100 Entrepreneurs of the Year 2019.

Jeffrey Godsick

Jeffrey Godsick is in charge of the studio’s ongoing global development and expansion of its major brands, such as Hotel Transylvania, Ghostbusters, Jumanji, Charlie’s Angels, and Men in Black, and creates opportunities for the brands beyond the theatre releases.

His remit includes long-term global branding initiatives for the studio’s tentpoles, international promotions strategies for films, the Motion Picture Group’s VR initiatives, and LBE projects such as theme parks and attractions.

Before joining Sony Pictures, Godsick was president of Fox Consumer Products at Twentieth Century Fox. Here, he oversaw the company’s consumer products activities and led the global licensing strategy for their film and television properties, such as The Simpsons.

Matthew Palmer

Matthew Palmer is an award-winning entertainment, technology, and hospitality executive with 25 years of experience in strategic marketing, branding, company development, and new venture start-ups. Palmer manages marketing, sales, and branding for BRITE Management, which creates immersive experiences that connect guests with iconic brands through unique experiences that increase brand awareness, affinity, and loyalty.

Palmer’s experience includes leadership positions at Disney, Nickelodeon, Discovery, Blue Man Group, Demand Media, and Exclusive Resorts. He has also served as a consultant on projects across the world including Mahanakhon Skywalk, Dubai Parks & Resorts, Paisley Park, and OWA.

The Innovation Awards

Innovation in the Game On space – from LBEs to FECs is part of the blooloop Festival of Innovation, a free event which is taking place online from 15 to 16 January 2025. The session will be available to watch on demand for 30 days after the event.

The Festival of Innovation brings together visitor attraction professionals to hear from industry experts and explore the winners of the 2024 blooloop Innovation Awards, presented with AREA15.

The blooloop Innovation Awards recognise the remarkable vitality, innovation, and creativity of the attractions industry. The winners of the 2024 Game On category will be unveiled at this session. Attendees can browse all of the entries during the event and vote for their favourite to win our Public Choice Award.
