Flight Club and Electric Shuffle operator Red Engine has announced plans for 45 new venues over the next five years.

The company aims to open three to four owner-operated locations each year, and its partners aim to launch at least four to five Flight Club venues per year.

This means that over the next five years, Red Engine and its partners will open 45 new sites, taking the total global portfolio to 84 attractions by the end of 2030.

Expanding our footprint is about more than just opening new doors, it’s about considered, strategic growth and ensuring that every new market is the right fit for that community and our brands,” said Steve Moore, CEO and co-founder of Red Engine.

“With each new location, we’re watching the global presence of our brands strengthen. We’re incredibly excited to see what’s next as we continue this journey towards making Flight Club and Electric Shuffle household names across the globe.”

Red Engine has also revealed it will open two new Electric Shuffle venues within weeks of each other this summer – one in London’s King’s Cross and the other in Chicago.

The former will debut on 6 June, and the latter before that in May. They will bring the total number of Electric Shuffle locations to nine.

“We still have to pinch ourselves daily when we think about the success that our brands have had over the past decade,” Moore said.

Additionally, Red Engine has reported sales totalling £77.1 million in 2024, a 15 percent increase on 2023’s £66.8m. Combined with its franchise partners, Red Engine’s sales reached £118.3m.

“Despite a year of pressures on the hospitality sector we are really pleased with these results, particularly the last quarter, which delivered new records for every Red Engine owned site,” said Ross Shepley-Smith, CFO at Red Engine.

The financial results also highlight “the resilience and strength of our brands, which continue to resonate with diverse audiences globally, and for that we are extremely proud”, he said.

Red Engine owns and operates all Flight Club UK venues, and all Electric Shuffle UK and US venues. Flight Club sites outside of the UK are operated under license.
