Guide-ID, the audio tour specialist, will sponsor this year’s VE: Forum Visitor Experience Seminar, which will take place on 11 July at the Thinktank Museum in Birmingham, UK.
The free, peer-led event’s theme is ‘The future of visitor experience’. It will feature presentations from industry experts who will discuss ways to drive the industry forward and enhance the guest experience. It is organised by the VE: Forum, an organisation that facilitates networking events for senior managers responsible for the creation and management of visitor experiences.
Confirmed speakers to date include Rich Neville, venue manager at The Paddington Bear Experience, who will discuss pop-up power teams. Justine Locker, head of palaces for Historic Royal Palaces, will share an insight into re-opening Banqueting House and Elizabeth Moss, chief executive at Showtown, will talk about opening Blackpool’s newest attraction.
Laurence Butler, head of visitor experience at Birmingham Museums Trust, will speak about fast-paced change and how he manages this within his team, and Alice Sarsfield-Hall, business development manager at blooloop, will give insights into the latest trends in the visitor attractions industry.
Meet and engage with industry leaders
Frits Polman, founder and CEO of Guide-ID, says: “We are delighted to work alongside VE: FORUM at this year’s seminar. The seminar is a fantastic opportunity to meet and engage with a number of museums, industry leaders and influential individuals within the art and culture scene from all over the world – where we will discuss the future of the visitor experience in museums.
“Our participation at this year’s seminar is just one element of our busy promotional programme to invoke inspiration and truly understand the needs of museums and exhibitions from a storytelling perspective. My colleague, Farnaz Khoshnazar, and I will be leading presentations discussing the impact of our Podcatcher Pro on our clients, as well as the role our innovative technology plays in creating memorable and immersive experiences for visitors. We look forward to connecting with all attending the seminar in July.”
