The Museum of Ice Cream is returning to Miami on 6 September, this time with its first-ever permanent location at the Miami Worldcenter complex.
The Instagrammable museum first opened in Miami Beach in 2017 as a pop-up, before returning in November 2022 as a pop-up pool party at Hotel Greystone.
In its new 14,000-square-foot venue, the Museum of Ice Cream promises to be “the most playful, joyous, educational, and tasty iteration yet”, a press release said.
Highlights will include a retro ‘Cream Liner’ – a 1960s-style luxury airplane. It will also house ‘A Grand Hall of Freezers’, and a double helix slide into the famous sprinkle pool, designed as a tribute to the Versace mansion.
The Museum of Ice Cream has also partnered with sensory scientists at International Flavors and Fragrances on a multi-sensory tasting experience that takes guests on a trip through the flavours of Miami.
Additionally, there will be adults-only events offering ice cream-themed cocktails, carnival games, and sprinkle swimming.
“With this museum being a permanent build, I was able to push the boundaries of design and interactivity, making this the creamiest, most colorful, and tastiest museum yet,” said Maryellis Bunn, co-founder and co-CEO of Museum of Ice Cream.
“You’ll see sensory elements from taste, touch and smell incorporated throughout.”
New Miami-themed experiences

The Museum of Ice Cream already has locations in New York City, Austin, Chicago and Singapore, and is opening another in Boston.
